James Cole

James H. Cole, 89, of Vincennes, passed away at 11:45 pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Gentlecare Nursing Home.He was born May 1, 1928 in Gibson County, Indiana to Delmond and Edna (Katterjohn) Cole.Jim retired as General Mananger of T.A. Brouillette & Son. An active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, he also served in the National Guard. Jim was a Lincoln High School graduate and belong to the Kiwanis Club, Masonic Lodge #1, Hadi Shrine Temple, and the Scottish Rite. In his spare time Jim loved to fish.Surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Meyer) Cole whom he married January 25, 1953; three children, Ann (David) Blemker of Washington, Jay (Karen) Cole of Vincennes, and C. Timothy (Lori) Cole of Yadkinville, NC; a sister, Marilyn Gladish of Jasper; and his grandchildren, Katie Norris, Mary Marte, Andrea Williams, Jennifer Cole, Stephen Cole, and Elizabeth Cole.Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Rosalee Schuckman.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home with Rev. George Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon until the service.
