James Coomes

Joseph Anthony Coomes, 71, of 11999 E Lucky Lane, Wheatland, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at his residence.He was born September 28, 1942 in Daviess County, Kentucky to James "Jake" and Agnes (Knott) Coomes.Anthony farmed his entire life and drove a truck for Elmer Butcha Trucking. He attended the Christian Church of Jasper and enjoyed fishing and camping.Surviving are his children, Lisa (Bob) Rehwald of Vincennes, Barney Coomes of Monroe City, Jim (Yvette) Coomes of Decker, Terry (Dronda) Coomes of Vincennes and Jared Coomes of Gleason; his brothers and sisters, Thurman Coomes of Owensboro, Sarah Dant of St. Joe, Ky, Frankie Coomes of Hatfield, IN, Dave Coomes of Owensboro, Jan Horton of Vincennes, and Robert Coomes of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Kristy Roberson, Joe Roberson, Cameron Coomes, Ashley Coomes, Cassi Rehwald, Tiffany Rehwald, Bryce Coomes, Josie Coomes, Tosha Dunham, and Kaylee Akers, along with five great grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents, and a son, Jerry Lee Coomes.Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev.
