Jerold Lucas

"Jerry" Jerold Douglas Lucas 59, Vincennes, Indiana passed away on Saturday June 28th, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, with his daughter at his bedside.He was born January 13th 1955 in Vincennes, Indiana. The son of Elmer and Vester Dee (Pierce) Lucas, he went on to become a mechanic and a business owner. Even through the hectic schedule of rebuilding alternators and starters, he was a very devoted and loving father and grandfather. He also loved and cared for his family and friends, who gave him the nickname of Jed.He is survived by his two children, Jerri Sue Lucas of Vincennes and Carolyn Dee Lucas ofKentucky, and four grandchildren, Hannah Wetzel of Vincennes, and Stephanie, Samantha, and Brandon all of Kentucky. He also had four sisters by the names of Mavis Jones, Nancy DeLisle, Cheryl Cardinal, and Vickie Newkirk, and two brothers namedRoger Lucas and Jack Lucas.He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lucas, mother,Vester Dee Lucas, six brothers, and two sisters.His burial will be held at Warth Cemetery, Decker Chapel. Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
