Melissa Carpenter

Melissa Denise Carpenter, 40, of Vincennes, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.She was born to Richard Foster and Charla Foster on July 21, 1980 in Vincennes, Indiana.Melissa was a member of Grace Like Rain Church. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, swimming, watching Law and Order on television along with other crime shows. Melissa loved her family, especially her granddaughter.Surviving are her husband Robert Carpenter whom she married on April 14, 2010; her mother, Charla Foster of Vincennes; her father, Richard Foster of Vincennes; her children Damon Clouse and his wife Shelby of Vincennes, and Ashtin Russell of Vincennes; her granddaughter Ava Clouse; her sisters Amy Keller of Wheatland, Tina Williams and Angie Helderman, both of Vincennes; and a step-son Gavan Carpenter of Bicknell.She was preceded in death by a son Dennis Russell III.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery.Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Melissa Carpenter.
