Alan Roberson

Alan D. Roberson, 84, of Wheatland, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his residence.He was born March 27, 1937 in Wheatland, Indiana to Alva and Alta (Barekman) Roberson.Alan was a farmer, worked for Montgomery Ward for twenty years, and was a member of the Wheatland United Methodist Church. A licensed pilot, he was currently serving as a board member on the Wheatland Fire Department in which he was a 50 plus year volunteer, Knox County Farm Bureau, Knox County Co-op Board of Directors, 4-H council, Wheatland Lions Club in which he served as a former president, and the Indiana State Fire Directors Association.Surviving are his sons and their spouses, James and Millie Roberson of Carlisle, and Roger and Lynn Ann Roberson of Wheatland; his grandchildren and their spouses Jackie Roberson and Mike Racey, Alex Roberson and Jayden Lee, Kristina and Jeffrey Chandler, Marci Powell, Joe and Jennifer Roberson, and Sarah Roberson; and his great grandchildren, Parker Racey, Jayden Racey, Brady Racey, Caylee Roberson, Ezekiel Howard, Isaiah Howard, Lily Arney, Jesse Money, Jayna Roberson, Magnolia Roberson, Kaseton Roberson, and Brynlee Chandler.He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Ruth (Miller) Roberson whom preceded him on February 26, 2015Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10:30 am at Wheatland United Methodist Church with Rev. Jarrod Chattin officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheatland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591.
