Alice

Alice Graves, 86, of Washington, IN, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 9, 2023.

She was born on August 9, 1937, in Washington, IN, to the late Fred and Mary (Cripe) Rude.

Alice was a member of the 1957 graduating class from Washington High School. On October 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, Fred Graves, and together they had four children: Kathy, Bret, Carey, and Roger.

Alice worked for over 30 years as a gas station clerk, most recently working for "Chuckles", but had retired due to health concerns. Alice loved to work, and especially enjoyed taking care of her customers every day.

Surviving Alice are her children, Kathy (Dean) Buchheit, Bret Graves, Carey Graves, and Roger Graves; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents, Fred and Mary; her siblings, Donald Rude, Bob Rude, Harold Rude, Raymond Rude, Charles Rude, and Norma Temple.

There will be no public services for Alice, as her wishes were to be cremated. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at goodwinsieversfh.com
