Alicia Ann Caswell, age 33 of Vincennes went peacefully to be with the Lord with family and friends at her side. Alicia courageously fought Leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, over the last eight years and more recently breast cancer. To all the fighters and survivors stay strong and fight hard.Alicia was born on June 9, 1986 in Vincennes to Philip Cooper and Julie (Kohorst) Wise.A 2005 graduate of Lincoln High School, she also graduated from Vincennes University and received her Master's Degree in Nursing from Western Governors University. Alicia worked in the Outpatient Oncology Department at Good Samaritan Hospital where she took pride in caring for her patients and forming relationships with them through their treatments. Alicia was also a licensed Radiologic Technologist, Certified Pharmacy Technician and held a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management. Aside from being a lifelong student, she enjoyed the outdoors, sports and spending time with her family and friends.Surviving are her husband Michael Caswell whom she married May 10, 2014, her parents Philip Cooper and his wife Cindy (and family) of Vincennes; her mother Julie Wise and her husband John of Vincennes; a son and her greatest blessing Cooper Anthony Caswell of Vincennes; her brother, Shane Cooper and his wife Heather of Vincennes; her father and mother-in-law, Steven and Deborah Caswell of Albion, IN; her brother-in-law David Caswell and his wife Abby of Plymouth, IN; her stepbrothers, Will McCormick and his wife Brittney; Ry McCormick; and Eli McCormick and his wife Kaleena; her nieces and nephews, Laney, Taylor, Ava, and Sadie Cooper, Rykar Caswell, Mac, Ella, Benjamin, and Theodore, Opal and Carson and Brynn McCormick; her grandfather, Gerald Kohorst of Vincennes; her step grandparents Tom and Glenda Wise of Princeton; and her grandfather in law John Brubaker of Bluffton. She will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Miriam Kohorst; paternal grandparents Homer and Patricia Cooper; grandfather and grandmother-in-law Russell and Irene Caswell and grandmother-in-law Thelma Brubaker; Uncles Allen Cooper and Gary Cooper.A Celebration of Alicia's Life will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home, 6:00 on Sunday. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 6:00 on Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cooper Caswell College Fund or Chemo Buddies of Evansville.
