Amos Edward McMullin, 76, of Monroe City, passed away at 7:30 am Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his residence.He was born October 24, 1943 in Vincennes, Indiana to Amos C. and Mildred (Killion) McMullin.Amos was a mechanic for most of his life operating his own business. A 1961 graduate of Decker High School, he served his country in the Army form 1962 -1965 stationed in Germany and his memberships included the American Legion, and V.F.W. Amos enjoyed watching NASCAR, collecting model cars, hunting for mushrooms, fishing, and camping.Surviving are his wife Karla (Shaner) McMullin, who he married on April 9, 1966; his children Charles "Eddie" McMullin and his wife Jenna of Monroe City, a daughter Melanie Ann McMullin of Monroe City; a sister Lou Ann Cardinal and her husband Tony of Lake Placid, FL; and his grandchildren Karly Neighbors, Amelia Arthur, Bain McMullin, and Katelyn Grubb.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, Gardner Brockman Chapel, 505 Main Street, Vincennes. Private family funeral services will be held with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.
