Amos Fuller

Amos Eldon "Bud" Fuller, 84, of Vincennes, passed away Feb. 25, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born Sept. 7, 1926 in Owensville, IN, he was the son of Amos & Hattie (Goodson) Fuller. He was a retired carpenter of 20 years. Bud served in the Army during WWII, and then served in the Navy for 12 years. He retired from the Navy Seabees Reserves after 34 years, and was member of the American Legion & VFW. Surviving is his wife, Peggy (Smith) Fuller, whom he wed on July 7, 1957; a daughter, Jill Johnson (Stacy) Blue of Vincennes; a son, Jim (Vicki) Fuller of Lawrenceville, IL; a sister, Verneta Ross of Princeton, IN; and three granddaughters he was very proud of, Amy Johnson of Evansville, IN, Ashley Johnson of Austin, TX, and Amanda Fuller of Muncie, IN. Bud loved to fish, tinker in the garage, and tell stories. He was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. A great husband, father, and papaw, he was loved by many. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 1, at 2:00 EST at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, with Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Pallbearers will be Lincoln Smith, Jasper Smith, Mike Smith, Steve Ross, Stephen Preusz, and Justin Wolford, and honorary pallbearers will be Stacy Blue, Mike Lee, Willie Stevenson, and Robert Woodward. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 - 2:00. Entombment will take place in the Tower Mausoleum II in Memorial Park Cemetery.
