Andrew J. Pea, 100, of Vincennes, IN passed away June 11, 2024. He was born in Terre Haute, IN on October 26, 1923, to the late Andrew and Emma (Evans) Pea. Andy attended Lincoln High School. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country in World War II. Andy married the love of his life Norma Jane Rayburn on November 1, 1947. He worked for Indiana Bell as a facilities assigner until his retirement in 1983. Andy was a member of the First Christian Church, American Legion, VFW, Telephone Pioneers, and the Communication Workers of America.
In his free time, Andy enjoyed traveling with his wife to Corpus Christi, Texas, reading, watching westerns, and camping. He was a true family man and loved being involved with his children and grandchildren's extracurricular activities. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.
Andy is preceded in death by his wife Norma Jane Pea; parents Andrew and Emma Pea; siblings Ronald (Marjean) Pea, Bill (Millie) Pea, Harriett Revis, Dorothy (Bob) Hunckler, Verna (Bob) Murphy, Sharon (Dick) Rogers, and Norma Jean Pea.
He is survived by his children Sue (Rich) Tolson, Bruce (Janice) Pea, Jerry (Kris) Pea; grandchildren Elizabeth (Zachary) Westfall, Ryan (Katie Smith) Pea, Daniel Pea, Joe (Sheila) Canham, Katy (Chris) Hall, Erin Pea, Maddy (Matt Brunnel) Pea; great-grandchildren Colton Westfall, Max and Maevelyn Canham, James, Lura, and Ada Hall, Pierce Fonner; sister Betty Graham; and several nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Pea. Visitation will be held June 17, 2024, at 524 Broadway St. from 3-7 pm. A funeral service will be held June 18, 2024, at 11 am with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery following.
