Andrew"A.J." Leighton Johnson, 30 passed away May 5, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital. A.J. was born on November 7, 1984, the son of Robert Johnson and Karen Grannan. A.J. married Lisa Stanczak on June 5, 2010.A.J. was a 2004 Shakamak High School graduate and worked at Black Panther Coal Mine as a coal miner. He took great pride in his job. He was a member of Followers of Christ Baptist Church, enjoyed working on cars, and was a truck enthusiast. A.J. also collected coal mine, Boy Scout, and Hot Wheel memorabilia. He enjoyed wood working, traveling, and scuba diving and loved his dog's.Survivors include his wife, Lisa Johnson of Bicknell, mother and step-father, Karen and Steve Grannan of Washington, father and step mother, Robert and Janice Johnson of Jasonville; sister, Heather Johnson of St. Louis, MO; brother, Eric Johnson of Jasonville; step-sister, Amy Grannan of Charleston, SC, step-brother, Shawn Grannan of Moscow, ID, step-brother, Chance Grannan of St. Louis, MO, step-sister, Rene Wright Hopkins of Ft. Wayne, IN; maternal grandparents, Jack and Brenda Kerns of Bicknell; paternal grandmother, Bernice Dee Montgomery of Vincennes.Funeral services for A.J. will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Pastor Glenn Archer officiating, burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.. Friends may visit with A.J.'s family from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
