Anna Coomer

Anna Lou Coomer, 96, of Vincennes, passed away Dec. 24, 2014, at BridgePointe Health Campus. Ann was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She had worked as a nurse's assistant in area nursing homes, and for many years was an Avon sales representative. She was a skilled seamstress, and had sung gospel music on the radio as a young lady. Born June 1, 1918, in Otsego, OH, she was the daughter of Rev. Guy and Leona (Watson) Buker. Her parents, and 3 brothers preceded her. Surviving are her children, Leona Peach, and her husband, Robert, of Effingham, IL, Ron Coomer of Vincennes, IN, and Kathy Alton, of Vincennes; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 EDT, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1902 Main Street, Vincennes, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, from 5:00 - 8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
