Annabelle Berry

Annabelle (Carrie) Berry, 88, passed away June 4, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Annabelle was born on December 6, 1925 in Vincennes the daughter of James Cleveland Carrie and Iva Stella (Hager). She married Charles Edward Berry, Sr. on February 21, 1943 at her parents home, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1997. Charles and Annabelle were introduced by mutual friends at the Tic Tac Soda Shop in Vincennes.Annabelle worked at the White Hut, Kroger and Northside Pharmacy, and she retired from Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the Vincennes Free Methodist Church.She is survived by her children, Charles Edward Berry, Jr., of Vincennes, Patti A. Joyce of Vincennes, Carolyn Sue Lucas of Vincennes, Coleen Marie Fitch of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Michael Berry, Chris Berry, Hillary Berry, Michelle Mansker, Rob Hunsaker, Debbie Rusch, Charlie Joyce, Jane Klueh, Beatrice Joyce, Angela Lucas, Amber Soderling, Andrea Hostetler and Philip Fitch. Also surviving are thirty-two great grandchildren, nineteen great-great grandchildren and brother, Henry R. Carrie of Gilbert, AZ. Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and six brothers.Funeral services for Annabelle will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with her grandsons Mike Berry and Scott Soderling officiating, as well as Rev. Burl Shinkle. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Annabelle's family from 12:00 until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Monday.
