Annette Ruppel

Annette M. Ruppel, 71, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1951 to the late Leland and Doris (Lay) Lucas. Annette was a lifelong resident of Vincennes. She worked as a department manager at Walmart for many years and towards the end of her career worked as a cashier. She was a member of the Vincennes Moose Lodge 281, and a lifelong member of the VFW Post 1157 in Vincennes. Annette loved to spend time with friends and family, to mushroom hunt, and to cook and can food. Surviving Annette are her children: Travis Ruppel and his wife Sandy of Petersburg, IN, and Andrea Shick and her husband Scott of Lawrenceville, IL; her grandchildren: Nikki Keeton, Justin Martin, Grace Shick, Lindsey Shick, and Sara Shick; great grandchildren: Connor Keeton and Ella Keeton; her companion: Steve Murphy; her siblings: Linda McCoy, Janice Garner, and Steve Berry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Betty Manning and Sally Abel, and her brother Eugene Lucas. A visitation for Annette will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, Indiana 47591 from 2:00 - 4:00pm.
