Ardith B. Decker, 86, of Vincennes, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Willow Manor.She was born January 26, 1933 in Vincennes, Indiana to Julius and Margaret (Nash) Bilskie.Ardith graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951 and went on to study nursing at Vincennes University and Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing. She married John T. "Jack" Decker August 11, 1953. She retired from Good Samaritan hospital as a nurse to raise her family. She was a founding member of the Y's Men's and Women's Club and the International Student Host Families, a member of Tri-Kappa, Fortnightly clubs, and a Girl Scout leader and leader trainer for the Shagbark Girl Scout Council and a member of the First Christian Church.Surviving are her children David H. Decker of Bloomington, Clay W. Decker and his wife Nancy of Vincennes, A. Ellen Decker of Indianapolis, and C. Eric Decker and his wife Elaine of Milton, GA; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Charles J. Bilskie; and her husband John Thomas "Jack" Decker.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upper Indiana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, her family would prefer you send memorial contributions to the First Christian Church Library Fund.
