Arlene Gerwolls

Arlene Joyce Gerwolls, 91, formerly of Vandalia, IL passed away at Freelandville Community Home on October 23, 2024. She was born in Vandalia, IL on February 12, 1933, to the late Roy and Merena (Jay) Koonce. Arlene worked for many years as a housekeeper at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Monroe City, IN for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sitting on her front porch, spending time with her family, and cooking. She will be deeply missed.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Merena Koonce; siblings Dorothy Gerhart, Harold Koonce, Bob Koonce, Don Koonce, Bill Koonce, and Aline Trulock.
She is survived by her sons Galen and Kevin Davis; 3 grandchildren; and sister Linda Townsend.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Gerwolls. There will be no services at this time.
