Audrey Ann Worstell

Audrey Ann (Drieman) Worstell, 100, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Audrey Ann was born on April 2, 1924, Audrey Ann Worstell was the daughter of Raymond P. and Marie Rodarmel Dreiman. She married James William Worstell, on June 20, 1948, and together they shared sixty years of love.


Audrey Ann was a proud graduate of Fritchton High School, class of 1942, and continued her education at Vincennes Business College. Throughout her career, she worked as a dedicated bookkeeper for Kixmiller Dodge, Saiter-Morgan, and the Knox County CO-OP, .


Audrey Ann was a member of the Indiana Presbyterian Church, where she once was the Sunday school superintendent and also taught Sunday School and Bible School. She also actively participated in various community organizations, including the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her passion for adventure led her to enjoy camping with her family and fellow campers from the Wabash Cannonball Camping Club and The Washington Boat Club.


In her leisure time, Audrey Ann could be found antiquing and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. She had a heart for international exchange, hosting students like Cecelia Perez from Chile and developing lifelong bonds that transcended borders.


Audrey Ann was proud of living her life at her home on the farm independently with her best boxer companion, Copper.


Audrey Ann is survived by her children, Cheryl Candace McCarty and her husband Jim, Bruce Worstell and his wife Alissa "Gob"; Cecilia Perez and her family (Chile); 9 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; and son, David Douglas Worstell.


Visitation will be held Monday, August 19th, 2024 at 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Frank Harmon will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Henry Harrison Grouseland Foundation in memory of Audrey Ann Worstell. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Audrey Ann.
