Barbara J. Carpenter, 61, 320 S. 13th, Vincennes, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born August 14, 1950, in Gibson County, IN, she was the daughter of Byrl Williams and Sarah Jane Stivers White.Barbara had been a housekeeper at Super 8 Motel for fifteen years and she enjoyed playing bingo. Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Carpenter, children, Ron Eads of Vincennes, Carl Eads of Spencer, IN, Anette Crabtree of Bowling Green, IN and Rachel Crabtree of Vincennes; stepchildren, Teresa Heuby of Vincennes, Tina Baer of Lawrenceville, IL and Robert Carpenter of Vincennes; brothers, John Stivers and Donald White both of Vincennes; sister, Sue Wagner of Decker; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A brother, Bobby Stivers preceded her in death.Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18 with Pastor Jay Howder officiating.
