Barbara Gray

Barbara J. Gray, 92, passed away at 1:20 pm on December 26, 2021, at her residence. Barbara was born on September 9, 1929, in Washington the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Botting) Rayman. She married Ardith Rolland Gray on March 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2018. Barbara was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and enjoyed playing Bingo. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Most importantly though, Barbara enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Larry Gray and his wife Lanette, Dick Gray and his wife Lisa, David Gray and his wife Shari, Susan Williams and her husband Paul all of Washington; fifteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ardith Rolland Gray and her grandson, Brock Williams. Friends may visit with Barbara's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. Yvonne Evans will officiate, and Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband in Sugarland Memory Gardens. The Gray family has requested memorial contributions be made to Helping Hearts Hospice, 1314 E. Walnut St., Washington, IN 47501.
