Barbara Horn

Barbara A. Horn, 84, passed away at 5:56 am on June 4, 2019 at The New Willow Manor Nursing Home. Barbara was born on July 2, 1934 in Terre Haute, the daughter of Frank and Annabelle (Anderson)Riddle. She married James L. Horn, Sr. on August 7, 1951 and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2016.Barbara was of the Christian Faith and had been an executive secretary for Dr. Fred Buehl at Good Samaritan Hospital for several years and then for Dan Linkenhoker and Barb and Gary Morgan. She loved her family, her home, gardening and her dog.Survivors include her daughter, Karri Irvin of Lawrenceville; sons, James Horn, Jr. and his wife Donna of Lawrenceville, Jay Horn and his wife Michelle of Terre Haute; sister, Jayne McCoy of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren, Shelli Owens, Lani Horn, Franci Gesell and her husband Joe, William Irvin and his fianc Mallory; great grandchildren, Waylon Gesell, Everett Gesell, Heijh Diaz, Danny Diaz, Thomas Diaz, Khali Diaz, Quinton Owens, Meadoh Owens and one great-great grandchild, Kennan Owens. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James L. Horn, Sr. and brother Jack Riddle.Friends may visit with Barbara's family from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Barbara's funeral service will begin at the conclusion of visitation starting at 1:00 pm with Pastor Trevor Murry officiating. Interment will follow in May Chapel in Lawrence County, IL.
