Barbara Johnson

Barbara Ann Johnson, 72, of Big Clifty, passed away Wednesday, December 24th, 2014 at her residence. She was born on February 24th, 1942 in Ohio County, the daughter of the late William Henry and Leora (Hayes) Duncan. She was a member of the American Legion in Leitchfield. Barbara and her husband, Gerald, loved to play bingo. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerald Wayne Johnson of Big Clifty; 2 sons, Carl Mickeal Webb (Annette) of Chicago, IL and Ronald Wayne Webb of KY; 2 daughters, Paula Lyn Webb and Eva Dowdy both of Texas; 1 step-son, Stanley Johnson (Donna) of KY; 1 brother, Bedford Duncan of TN; 8 sisters, Hattie Duggins of Falls of Rough, Stella Nies of IN, Jewell Saracco of KY, Shirley Davis of KY, Betty Boggess of IL, Dorothy Campbell of TN, Opal Hayes of KY and Mary Helen Allgaeuer of KY; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by 1 son, Alva Lee Webb: 5 brothers, Michael, Hubert, Orville, Arvin and Russell Duncan and two 2 sisters, Lucy Duncan and Martha Hayes.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Tuesday after 2:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service.Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 31st at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Michael Courtwright will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.
