Barbara Marsh

Barbara A. Marsh, 77, of Vincennes, passed away at 5:37 p.m. July 28, 2013 at BridgePointe Health Campus.She was born March 13, 1936 in Shoals, Indiana to Frank and Hattie (Beard) Lindley.Barbara retired from Vincennes University where she had worked in the P.E. Complex. She received her degree from V.U. in building trades at the age of 51 which she was very proud of. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held memberships in the NRA, Hoosier Cruisers, and the Genealogical Society. Her favorite pastime included antiquing, and was an avid rose gardener.Surviving are her children, Carlyn (Bob) Pittman of Mount Vernon, In, Kimberley Smith - Bilby and her companion, Marc Hudson of Mt Carmel, Walter David Marsh of Vincennes, and James "Jim" Michael Marsh of Vincennes; a sister Emily Lee of Shoals; her grandchildren, Rodger Pittman, Esther Pittman, Aimee Smith, Erin Smith, Greg Hancock, Erica Rhinerson, David Marsh, Branden Marsh, Brett Marsh, Kairee Marsh, and Abbi Marsh; seven great grandchildren, and her best friend of 48 years, Juda Hamlin.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter David Marsh; and her brothers and sisters, John Lindley, Warren Lindley, Taylor Lindley, Coleman Lindley, Jacob Lindley, Ethel Fitch, Geneva Merritt, Virginia Duncan, and Clone Qualkenbush.Funeral services for Barbara will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday August 1, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Bishop Ryan Lough officiating.
