Barbara Mcclaskey

Barbara McClaskey, 69, of 1214 State, Vincennes, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her residence.She was born April 22, 1944 in Vincennes, to Philip James and Robertine Julia (Cardinal) Chambers Sr.Barbara worked at the Samaritan Center as a Resident Assistant and also had worked at Moore and Miller Drug Store for 26 years. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Vincennes Boat Club, and the Moose. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Daniel O'Donald, and was known for her BBQ chicken and egg nog.Surviving are her daughters, Tricia (Brian) Purcell of Vincennes, Terry Jo (Jeff) Armstrong of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; her brothers and sisters, Joann (Joe) Marley of Vincennes, Jeannie (Buddy) Peters of Vincennes, Philip (Marlene) Chambers of Vincennes, Jack (Marsha) Chambers of Bruceville, Peggy (Donald) Roach of Evansville, Pam (Chuck) Catt of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Madison Purcell, Graham Purcell, Brady Armstrong, Josh Armstrong, and Daymon Armstrong; along with several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles McClaskey, and an infant sister, Roberta Jill Chambers.Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Cheryl Garbe officiating.
