Barbara Stangle

Barbara J. Stangle, 80, formerly of Vincennes, passed away on August 4, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.She was born May 16, 1933 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Otto and Dora (Miller) Schaefer.Barbara was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, Eagles Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 2244 and the K of C Auxiliary. She had worked at the Brown Shoe Factory and retired from Hamilton Glass.Surviving are her children, Vicki (Pat) Marchino, Randy (Rita) Davis and Rick (Brenda) Stangle; a sister, Betty Joan (Eldon) Morning; five grandchildren, Laura (Todd) Chenoweth, Craig (Erica) Marchino, Josh (Rachel) Stangle, Richard "Drew" Stangle and his fianc, Becky Meyers, and Joseph (Melissa) Tarr, and her great grandchildren, Katie, Karley, and Lucas Marchino, Paige and Levi Chickadaunce, Aiden Chenoweth, Kingston and Haven Tarr and two more on the way.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gardner Brockman funeral Home with Rev. David Fleck officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
