Benjamin Mckinney

Benjamin Cody McKinney, 35, of Evansville IN. went to be with the Lord January 30, 2021. He was born September 22, 1985 in Princeton, IN. to John and Glenda (Sims) McKinney. Benjamin grew up in Owensville and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 2004. Benjamin was baptized at Bethlehem Church in Ft. Branch, IN. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army with 2 tours in Iraq from 2004 - 2008. While serving he received several accomplishments including a combat action badge. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, target shooting, hunting for deer, and hiking with his beloved dog Cleo. Benjamin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Roy and Reatha Faye Sims and his paternal grandparents Pauline and Harold McKinney. He is survived by his parents John and Glenda McKinney; sisters Amanda (Lee) Camp and Reyna (Chris) Schaefer; nephews Jared and Justin Camp, and Jackson Schaefer; niece Shelby Schaefer and his best canine friend Cleo.
