Bernadine Yochum

Bernadine Cecilia Yochum, 91, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Bernadine was born on August 4, 1923 in Knox County the daughter of Bernard H. and Agnes C. (Dahms) Yochum.Bernadine was a member at St. John Catholic Church and worked as a presser at One Hour Cleaners for many years until they closed and then she retired from Progress Laundry.Survivors include her sister-in-law, Georgetta Yochum of Vincennes, nephews, James Yochum and his wife Diane of Vincennes, Kenny Yochum and his wife Linda of Vincennes, Thomas Yochum and his wife Margaret of Texas, niece Carol Grostefon and her campanion George Zellers of Winamac, IN; several great and great great nieces and nephews and a special friend Norma Wild of Vincennes. Bernadine was preceded in death by her brothers, Sebastian, Francis and Harold Yochum and a sister-in- law Mildred Yochum.A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at St. John Catholic Church, 803 Main Street, with the Rev. David Fleck celebrating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with Bernadine's family on Tuesday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
