Bernice Montgomery

Bernice "Bunny" K. Montgomery, 92, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord January 8, 2022. She was born in Vancouver, WA September 26, 1929 to the late Harry and Helen Moeller. Bunny married the love of her life Charles Montgomery July 28, 1945. They were blessed with 75 years of marriage before Charles passed in September of 2021. They Sang on WRAY in the late 50's for 5 years on the Sunday morning gospel hour. Bunny earned a Bachelors' Degree in Nursing and served as a Nurse for Whirlpool and Duke. She was a lifetime member of Owensville Methodist Church. Bunny was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Montgomery; Brother Harry Edwards Jr.; and Sister Helen Betty Elizabeth. She is survived by her children Carl "CT" (Anne) Montgomery, Bill Montgomery, Ben (Cindy) Montgomery, Jesse (Betty) Montgomery, and Holly-Echo Montgomery; grandchildren Ken (Stephanie) Montgomery, Jason (Lisa) Montgomery, Chelsea (Gabe) Meyers, Matt (Bobbie) Montgomery, Melissa (Robert) Edmondson, Trevor (Emily) Montgomery, Jessica Montgomery Hooper, Jaley Montgomery, Jordan (Tabitha) Montgomery, Echo Montgomery (Matthew) Flood; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and siblings Patricia and Victoria. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Montgomery. Visitation will be held at Holder's Funeral Home Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10a - 1p followed by the Funeral at 1p with Marsha Bishop officiating. Graveside service will be scheduled at a later date at Benson Cemetery.
