Bert Dodd

Bert A. Dodd, III, 68, passed away on February 3, 2022. Bert was born on July 27, 1953, in Vincennes and he was the son of Bert A. II and Mary Lee (Durham) Dodd. Bert married Becky Crawford on August 25, 1977. Bert worked in various capacities and positions over the course of his lifetime. He had been employed with LE Meyer, Champion Filters, Dodd Auto, Snider Electronics, Johnson Control, Vincennes Manufacturing, ATS, and FIA. Bert really enjoyed any type of racing and he loved going to the movies with Becky, especially for the popcorn. He also loved western shows, John Wayne movies and grilling. Survivors include his wife, Becky Dodd of Vincennes; his children, Bert Dodd IV and his wife Kerri of Vincennes, Rachel Blaine and her husband Michael of Cameron, NC, Brett Dodd of Vincennes; his niece, Tammi Chapman-Hout and her husband Dennis of Vincennes; and great nephews, Hunter, Tanner, and Colt Hout. Bert was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Mary Lee Dodd. Friends may visit with Bert's family from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. The Dodd family has requested memorial contributions be made in Bert's name to the Vincennes Pet Port, 1128 River Road, Vincennes, IN 47591.
