Bert Earley

Bert H. Earley, 80, of Vincennes, passed away at his home, on April 12, 2015.Bert was a self-employed carpenter, specializing in floor covering installation. He was a member of the First Church of God, and the Upstreamers Sunday School Class. Spending time with family, friends, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies, along with playing chess, working puzzles and euchre were favorite pastimes. Bert also enjoyed reading Western novels, and watching Westerns and the History Channel. He served in the US Army, and was stationed in Germany. Bert received a degree in small engine and small appliance repair from Vincennes University.On November 10, 1959, he married Ethel Jean (Woodsmall) Earley, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Angela Cazel of Washington, IN, Bert Earley and his wife Tracy, Jeff Earley and his wife, Diana, Christina Ivers, Nathaniel Earley, William "Billy" Earley and his fianc, Chelsea Caballero, and Denzel Earley, all of Vincennes; sisters, Betty Tedrow and her husband, Arthur, and Eva Lawrence and her husband, Bill; his grandchildren, Stefany Jamison and her husband Ron of Vincennes , Ashlie Kinnaman and her husband, Randall, of Washington, IN, Tyler Earley and his wife, Tiffani, of Lafayette, IN, Cameron Earley and his wife, April, of Wheatland, Hillary Ransom, Dawn Litherland and her husband, Alex, Dani Bilskie, Dale Earley and his wife, Kera, all of Vincennes, Lucas Ivers of Oaktown, IN, Colin Ivers of Oaktown, and Rio Jayde Earley, of Vincennes; his great-grandchildren, Hunter Cazel, Blayr Foster, Reese Kinnaman, Bryson Litherland, Bert Joseph Earley, Cali Earley, Addie Earley, Jude Ransom, Nash Ransom, Aiden Earley, Axton Earley, and his great-grandchild on-the-way, Remington Kinnaman; and several nieces and nephews.Born October 14, 1934, in Vincennes, Bert was the son of William Thomas and Mary Alta (Shoulders) Earley. His parents; sisters, Edith Yates, Adaline Hawkins, and Deloris Mahan; and brothers, Norman, Walter, William Samuel, and Charles Earley, preceded him.Friends may visit with Bert's family on Tuesday, from 4:00 - 8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
