Betty Cannon

Betty J. Cannon, 85, of Washington, IN, passed September 13, 2020, at her home.Betty was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School. She was retired from Perdue, and had also worked at 3D. A member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, she volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul, and was a Pink Lady. Betty enjoyed line dancing.Surviving are her children, Carol Huxhold and her husband, David, of West Chester, OH, John Cannon of Petersburg, IN, Brian Cannon of Washington, IN, Jane Myers and her husband, Bill, of Warsaw, IN, and Laura O'Haver and her husband, Phil, of Washington, IN; her grandchildren, Cayla Huxhold, Rachel Huxhold, Chelsea Yon, Cody Cannon, Kyleigh Kluemper, Mindy Cannon, Lindsay Cannon, Kendra Cannon, Briana Templin, Jordan Dickey, Keith O'Haver, Abby O'Haver, and Liam O'Haver and eight great-grandchildren.Preceding Betty were her parents, John and Mayme (Jones) Gilley, to whom she was born November 11, 1934, in Washington, IN; her husband, John Thomas Cannon, who died July 23, 1993; her granddaughter, Kristen Cannon; and a half-sister, Barbara Combs.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington, IN. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
