Betty Crowley

Betty Ann Crowley, 80, passed away at 7:35 pm on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Gentle Care of Vincennes. Betty was born on August 27, 1933 the daughter of J. Marion Dardeen and Inadeen (Haggard) Carie. She married Jack L. Crowley on December 29, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2012.Betty served her country in the United States Air Force and retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in 1999 after twenty three years as a switchboard operator. She was an evangelist and participated on the ministry team at Cornerstone Ministries where she was a member. Betty loved her grandchildren and was an animal lover. She also enjoyed painting, and studying the Word of God.Survivors include her children, son, Dan Crowley and his wife Eva of Mount Holly, NC; daughter, Becky Litherland and her husband Jon of Vincennes; son, Doug Crowley of Vincennes, grandchildren, Nicole Payseur, Danielle Crowley, Garrett Schirmacher, Jessica Kendall, Justin Crowley, Briana Williams, Jacob Williams; seven great grandchildren; and siblings, Carol Walton, Larry Dardeen and Eddie Carie. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jack L. Crowley.Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with her son Dan Crowley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Betty's family on Monday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
