Betty Evans

Betty Lou Evans, 89, of Owensville, IN passed away March 11, 2022. She was born in Owensville, IN to the late Max and Grace Smith. Betty was in the 1950 graduating class of Owensville High School. She married the love of her life, Jack B. Evans, October 15, 1961. Betty worked for Emge Packing until they welcomed their son, Brian to the family. Later she worked for Gibson General Hospital in the laundry department. Betty loved children and was known for babysitting. She enjoyed crafting, playing cards, sewing, and watching her hummingbirds. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Carmen Smith, Shirley Smith, and Evelyn Cater. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack; son Brian (Michelle) Evans; grandson Kyle (Kirby) Evans; and Brother Robert Smith. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Evans. Visitation will be held Monday, March 14, 2022 from 11a-1p at Holder's Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Monday at 1pm with Pastor Bob Douglas officiating with burial at Clark Cemetery.
