Betty Salter

Betty L. "Liz" Salter, 91, passed away at 6:20 pm on September 4, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Liz was born on April 9, 1926 in Knox County the daughter of Louis and Lidda L. (Welton) Spillman. Liz married Gordon Salter on march 3, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2008.Liz was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed Cincinnati Reds baseball and reading.Survivors include her daughter, Leza Westfall of Vincennes; grandchildren, Robin Stomberg of Clay City, IL, Anne Westfall of Vincennes; great granddaughter, Lola Westfall of Vincennes; and several nieces and nephews. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband Gordon Salter, daughter, Pamela Hienz, son, Gordon Bradly Salter, grandson, Mark Andrew Westfall, and brother, William Spillman.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
