Beulah Walker

Beulah E. "Boots" Walker, 82, passed away at 6:45 am on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Boots was born on April 25, 1931 in Decker, IN the daughter of Frank and Jessie (Graham) Lane. She married Norman Walker on December 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2008 after fifty-eight years of marriage.Boots was a member of Community United Methodist Church and worked as a Nurse's Aide for Junod's Nursing Home and later Mitchell Manor.Survivors include one daughter, Linda Swing and her husband, Bob of Vincennes; grandchildren, Andrew Swing and his wife Melena, Erin Hurst and her husband Ryan and Jarrod Walker. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Claire Swing, Seth Ault, Camden Walker Hurst, sister, Nelda Frederick, and brother, Herschel Lane. Boots was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Mike Walker and five siblings.A memorial service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may gather at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10 am to visit with Boots' family. Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway is handling arrangements.
