Beverly J. (Lamb) Buffington, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2023 with her family by her side. Beverly was born on March 9, 1943 in Boca Raton, Florida and was the daughter of Floyd and Naomi (Alton) Webber.
Beverly loved her family dearly. She spent her time raising her beautiful family and was so proud of them. She lived in Carlisle working on the family melon farm before moving to Vincennes and getting involved in the community. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Moose. She enjoyed playing bingo, county music, and doing activities with her children and grandchildren. Beverly had a love for Elvis. Not only did she like his music but she also has a huge collection of Elvis memorabilia.
Beverly is survived by her husband, William Buffington; children, Debbie Webb (Gary), Ted Dye Jr. (Stephanie), and Patty Carnahan (Bill Dunn); sisters, Nikki Evans and Almeda Miley; grandchildren, Kyla Paz, Greg Webb, Ted Dye, Janalyn Hoops, Payton Carnahan, and Presley Dunn; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild on the way. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ted Dye; second husband, Kenny Lamb; sisters, Sharon Brown, Patty Bauer, and Rita Allen.
Visitation for Beverly will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. The funeral service will start immediately following visitation at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Beverly.
