Beverly Stephens

Beverly J. Stephens, of Vincennes, passed September 8, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. A graduate of Indiana Business College, she had worked as a bookkeeper for Bryant Chevrolet, and then Thompson Chevrolet. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the American Business Women's Association. Beverly was born August 23, 1928, in Yipsalanti, MI, to George and Louise (Kidwell) Watson. Her parents preceded her, as well as her husband, Earl "Steve" Stephens; two sons, Timothy and David Stephens; two brothers, Glenn and Richard "Dick" Watson; and two sisters, Phyllis Black and Susan Fossmeyer. Surviving are her children, Deborah (Cary Burch) Stephens of Vincennes, Mark (Vickie) Stephens of Vincennes, Jana (Henry) Carie of Vincennes, Cathi (Mick) Gaines of Foley, AL, Terri (J.R. Winkles) Parrott of Lawrenceville, IL, and Bruce (fiance' Laura Abernathy) of Lawrenceville, IL; a brother, Clarke Watson of Owensville, IN; a sister, Donna Sensmeier of Darmstadt, IN; nine grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
