June Twitty, of Vincennes, IN, passed away September 13, 2020, at Oak Village Nursing Home.June had retired from the Vincennes Community School System, where she had worked as a baker. She was known for her cookies. A charter member of the Four Square Gospel Church, June was very involved in the church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and in several other roles. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was inseparable from her husband, Bill, until his passing.Surviving are her children, Debbie Ransom and her husband, Myke, of Vincennes, IN, Jeff Twitty of Vincennes, IN, and Shelley Smith of Vincennes, IN; her grandchildren, Ryan Ransom, Josh Ransom, Seth Ransom, Beth Bates, Olivia Hogue, and A.J. Twitty; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Ransom, Will Ransom, Emmett Ransom, Avery Ransom, Alyson Ransom, Nash Ransom, Audrey Ransom, Jude Ransom, Maggie Ransom, Grace Ransom, Ben Ransom, Evie Ransom, Meela Bates, Mac Bates, Mercy Ransom, and Jett Hogue; and several nieces and nephews.Born April 28, 1937, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Milburn and Frances (Byrd) Sanders. Her parents; her husband, Bill Twitty, whom she married June 6, 1954 and who passed away January 14, 2017; and her sisters, Jean Kelly (who along with June was a set of triplets), Betty Ridgley, and Phyllis Duckworth preceded her.Friends may visit with June's family from 12:00 - 2:00 on Wednesday, at Goodwin - Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
