Bill

Bill Steininger, 83, passed away peacefully on March, 16, 2024. Born on December 19, 1940 in Vincennes, Indiana he was the son of Bill and Hazel (Powers) Steininger. He married Margaret (McCrary) Steininger on December 19, 1970, and created a beautiful life together for over 53 years.

Bill had worked as a rural mail carrier for the US mail service for over 22 1/2 years. He was also an accomplished concrete layer and worked doing this as well, for 26 years. Bill enjoyed fishing , hunting and his little dog, Midgey. He was a member of Buck Creek Muzzloader Club of Linton, Indiana for 35 years and was a Mason and member of the Haudie Temple for over 50 years. Bill also served our country in the Army for 2 years.

Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, BJ Steininger; two stepchildren, Jerri Carson and Tracy Livermore; grandson, Cole Steininger; step grandchildren, Kelli Straw, Kerri Miller, Michael Livermore, Matthew Livermore; step great grandchildren, Alysaa Bowles, Avery Livermore, Jordan Bowles, Brent Whittler, Eaden Livermore; step great great grandchildren, Dewey Dill, Eaden Dill, Zoey Oliver, Chris Dill; and sister, Cathy Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Fuller; and brother, John Steininger.

A celebration of life will be held and announced at the later end of April. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Bill.
