Billy Montgomery

Billy R. Montgomery Jr., 44, passed away at 9:03 am on May 20, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Billy was born on February 7, 1975 in Ft. Knox, KY to Bill and Karlena (Catt) Montgomery. He married Natalie Basham on June 22, 1996 and she survives.Billy had worked for Futaba for twelve years and most recently for Nutrien AG. He enjoyed hunting fishing and was a huge sports fan especially the Cubs, IU and Da Bears. Billy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he especially enjoyed his time with his granddaughter.Survivors include his wife, Natalie Montgomery of Vincennes; daughter, Kaycee Lhotka and her husband David of Bruceville; his mother and father, Karlena and Bill Montgomery of Vincennes; sister, Kristi Carney and her husband Shawn of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Kenna Lhotka; and his maternal grandmother, Marie Purcell of Vincennes. Billy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William R. and Mary Montgomery and his maternal grandparents, Carl Catt and Ray Purcell.Friends may visit with Billy's family from 3-7 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. There will be a celebration of life service starting at the conclusion of visitation at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a college fund that will be set up for Billy's granddaughter, Kenna Lhotka.
