Billy Newman

Billy Q. Newman passed away on Nov. 5, 2021 as the result of an auto accident. He was born on Mar. 31, 1926 in Wheatland, IN to parents, Clara & Allison Newman. Billy was married to Doris (Due) Newman on Dec. 31, 1984 & she survives. He is also survived by daughters Cindy Schutz (husband John), Tyla Thomas, Retta White, & Diane Lewis (husband Todd), 5 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Billy graduated from Wheatland High School, served in the army-air force during WWII, going on to graduate from Purdue University in 1951. Funeral services for Billy Q. Newman will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Salem United Church of Christ at 13135 North Salem Road in Westphalia, Indiana. Officiating will be Pastor Jessie Letourneau. Interment will follow in the Westphalia Cemetery in Westphalia, Indiana. Under the direction of Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home Vincennes, Indiana.
