Robert "Bob" Thorne, 60, of Vincennes, IN passed away on August 24, 2024. Although a shining star in our lives has dimmed, we will cherish the memories and love he shared and will continue to illuminate our hearts. Bob a Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure.
With a heart full of wonder, Bob found joy in the simple things: gazing up at the starry night sky, watching wildlife from his porch, and listening to music that stirred his soul. His hands were always busy, whether fixing things around the house or anyone's vehicle. His tree did miraculously fork.As you can imagine.
Though his time with us was far too short, Bob's impact on our lives will be felt for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire us to look up ask questions and continue to live our best lives.
Those who went before Bob are his parents Archie Thorne, Margaret Morris and Sherman Morris; siblings Michael Thorne and Tony (Donna) Thorne; grandchildren Briana Stevens and Aleigha McGhee.
Bob's legacy carries on with his companion, of 17 wonderful years, Holly Alvord; Children Aaron Thorne, Matthew (Amanda) Thorne, Pete (Ashley) McGhee, Livia McGhee, Amber (Beau) Spade; grandchildren Jason (Sabrina) Stevens, Alex Stevens, Kayla Shupe, Brennen Thorne, Blayton Lochart, Jaylyx Thorne, Bristin Hess, Elliana Thorne, Zayne Stefancic, Jaece Heuby, Zuri Stefancic, Landyn Thorne, Graecee Heuby, Liam Morrison, Declan McGhee; and several great-grandchildren.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Thorne. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 524 Broadway St. from 12-2pm. Burial will be private.
