Bonnie Jean Chanley, 83, Vincennes passed away at 6:00 p.m on Wednesday, April 20 at her residence. She was born June 4, 1927, in Miltonvale, KS, the daughter of George W. and Gertrude Ann (Myers) Gibbs. Bonnie was a homemaker and was active at the Blue Jean Center. She enjoyed quilting and cooking, and was a member of the Harrison Township Homemakers. Bonnie helped with the care of others.Survivors include her children, Dean (Mary) Chanley, Karen A. (Kevin McKee) Chanley Merydith and Forrest L. (Jamie) Chanley all of Vincennes; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents; husband, Herman S. Chanley; and five brothers.Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with Pastor Keith Chanley officiating. Burial will follow in Hamline Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Jean Center in Monroe City.Online condolences may be sent through www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
