It is with a heavy heart and a spoonful of humor that we say goodbye to Braxton "Big Juicy" "Fat Boy" Chambers, a man who could bring a smile to anyone's face and a growl to any empty stomach. Born on November 14, 1994, in Vincennes, Indiana, Braxton was a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen. As the great Julia Child once said, "People who love to eat are always the best people," and Braxton was undoubtedly one of the best. His funny, generous, witty, and loving nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Braxton spent a decade working as a cook at JT's Place, where his talents were showcased on the daily. He was also the head prep grill cook at Montana Mike's, a testament to his culinary prowess. When he wasn't whipping up delicious meals, Braxton could be found gaming with his brother, a pastime that brought them endless joy and laughter. As Mark Twain so aptly put it, "To get the full value of joy, you must have someone to divide it with," and Braxton and his brother were a dynamic duo in both the kitchen. What mattered most to Braxton were his kids, his family, and the time spent cooking and gaming with his loved ones. He is survived by his son Greyson Chambers, a baby girl due in July, significant other Rayna Armstrong, parents Eric and Tammy Chambers, aunt Marcie McNew, aunt Deb Cox, Uncle Alvin, Uncle Rick and Uncle Jeff McDonald, brother Brady Julian, brother-in-law Dillon Julian, niece Patience Julian, and nephew Malaki. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Steve Chambers, Julia Clingerman, Ted McDonald, and Peggy McDonald, and uncle Frank McNew. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 11:00am - 1:00 pm EDT at Goodwin-Sievers - Vincennes Funeral Home, located at 524 Broadway Street, Vincennes, Indiana, 47591. In the spirit of Braxton's humor and love for life, we encourage everyone to share their favorite memories and photos on the memorial page. As they say, "laughter is the best medicine," and while we mourn the loss of Braxton, let us remember the laughter and joy he brought to our lives.
