Brenda Lawrence

Brenda Lawrence was 62 when she passed away on January 25, 2021 in Lexington, KY. Brenda was born on October 29, 1958 in Vincennes the daughter of Roland and Carol (Richardville) Ridge.Brenda was a kind, compassionate person with an outgoing personality that loved to laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a 1977 graduate of Vincennes Rivet High School and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing, doing crafts, traveling, playing at the beach, and especially loved to talk. Brenda considered the singular greatest moment of her life was when she became a mom. She devoted all her time and energy into raising Dakota to become a fine young man.Brenda asks that her family and friends try not to grieve because she is gone, but instead be happy for the times they shared. She considered herself blessed to have been a small part of such a loving group of family and friends. She asks that whenever you think of her that you turn that thought into an act of kindness and do something to help someone in need.Brenda is survived by her husband Dan Lawrence and son Dakota Lawrence both of Georgetown, KY. Also, her brothers and their wives, Loren and Susan Ridge and Scott Ridge and Autumn Newberry all of Vincennes, IN. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Carol (Richardville) Rainey, father, Roland Ridge and her grandmother, Edna Richardville.A small private ceremony was held on February 2, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes, IN.
