Brian Jay "Pinky" Gardner, 71, of Vincennes, IN, passed away at his home on February 19, 2021.Pinky had worked at Essex Wire. He was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School, and was active in class activities. His memberships included the American Legion and the Vincennes Boat Club. A Beach Boys fan, he liked to watch the Chicago Bears and Cubs, and I U Basketball.Surviving is his wife, Cindy (Barekman) Gardner, whom he married Oct. 27, 1975; his children, Chris Gardner and his wife, Libby, of Vincennes, IN, Heather Cummings and her husband, Kelly, of Emison, IN, and Justin Gardner and his wife, Katrina, of Vincennes, IN; his sisters, Doris Diane Gardner of Vincennes, IN and Carol Burkhalter of O'Fallon, IL; his grandchildren, Kayla Cummings, Megan Gardner, Jenna Gardner, Tyler Cummings, Miles Gardner, and Jacob Gardner; a great-grandchild, Kayson Cummings; several nieces and nephews; and many friends that he considered family.Born Oct. 3, 1949, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Millard and Mildred (Richardville) Gardner.
