Buddy L. Goodwin, Sr. 75, passed from this life to the waiting arms of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on April 3, 2013, at 9:20 AM, at his home. He had been a member of the Teamsters Union, driving for A&H Trucking, and later for Advance Trucking. Following his retirement, Buddy was the superintendent of the Vincennes City Cemetery. A 49 year member of St. John Lutheran Church, he had served his church as an elder and a deacon. His family includes his wife, Rose (Holder) Goodwin, whom he married Jan. 19, 1958; his children, Kimberly (Steve) Gott, Kathy (Dave) Morris, and Buddy Goodwin, Jr., all of Vincennes; grandchildren, Tonya (Richard) Donaldson, Heather Goodwin, Ashlee Morris, Quinton Goodwin, and Jordan Goodwin; a great-grandchild, Brooklyn Donaldson; and his preceding parents, Ruble and Marie (Chestnut) Goodwin, to whom he was born Dec. 19, 1937, in Edwardsport, IN. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes. Revs. Ron Maxwell and Nathan Rastl will officiate.
