Burnell R. Davis

Burnell R. Davis, 81, formerly of Vincennes, passed away at his residence in Lowell, Indiana on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.He was born November 4, 1938 in Bicknell, Indiana to Arthur and Hildegard (Trabant) Davis.Burnell retired from Westport Auto in the service department and had also worked at the Vincennes First Church of God. Burnell was a graduate of Bruceville High School, belonged to the Bicknell Elks, and the Vincennes Lodge #1 where he had served as Worshipful Master and many other offices. He loved spending time with his wife Zenada, family, and especially his grandchildren.Surviving are his wife, Zenada (McGill) Davis of Lowell, Indiana; his children, Jeanette Johnson and her husband Larry of Bruceville, Brian Davis of Vincennes, Janie Vaughn of Vincennes, Tamara Davis of Vincennes, and Bill Davis and his wife Brandee of Vincennes; his brother David Davis and his wife Cyndi of Bicknell; his sister, Judy Williams of Bicknell; his stepchildren, Leslie Morrow and Toni Karshner; and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Jean (Shaw) Davis; his second wife Carolyn (Hendershot) Davis; a son Allen Davis; a daughter Jeannette Swope; and a sister Diana Fox.Visitation will be from 5-7pm Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home. In lieu of lowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes YMCA or Masonic Lodge #1. Burnell's wishes were to be cremated after his visitation.
