Carl Engleman

Carl E. Engleman, 83, passed away at 2:38 pm on May 29, 2020 at Daviess Community Hospital. Carl was born on March 22, 1937 in Milltown, IN the son of Melvin and Eulah (Seacat) Engleman. He married Hilda Marcum in June of 1955.Carl had been a machinist for International Harvester and Navistar. He was a life- long member of the UAW, attended Cornettsville Methodist Church and was a member of the Steele Township Advisory Board member. Carl was an avid hunter, woodworker and fisherman and loved to fish at Glendale. He also enjoyed reading, especially westerns.Survivors include his wife Hilda Engleman of Plainville; sons, Bryan Engleman and his wife Misha of Plainville, Indiana, Carl L. Engleman and his wife Wendy of Blairsville, Georgia; brother, Mike Engleman and his wife Nellie of Shelbyville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Annie Engleman, Gregory Engleman, Susan Stafford and her husband Eric, Kimberly Engleman, Josh Engleman, Amanda Engleman, C.J. Engleman, Jonathan Engleman, Julia Engleman; step-grandchildren, Michael Newell and his wife Christiana, Victoria Russo and her husband Patrick and eleven great-grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, June Harrod, Peggy Delaney and brother, Melvin Engleman, Jr.Friends may visit with Carl's family from 10-11 am at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St on Thursday, June 4, 2020. A memorial service will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home and Carl will be laid to rest in Cornettsville Cemetery.
