Carl Marvel

Carl William "Bill" Marvel, 77, of Monroe City, IN, passed away October 13, 2020, at Kindred Hospital North in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill was a farmer. An avid hunter, he also enjoyed target shooting, and loved to drive trucks. He and Cheryl attended Community United Methodist Church. Bill participated in the Walk to Emmaus. He loved to be with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Cheryl (Frankum) Marvel, whom he married Marh 17, 1962; his children, Melisa Hale and her husband, Steve, of Haubstadt, IN, Kim Mitchko and her husband, Curt, of Washington, IN, Andrea Junkin and her husband, Jim, of Vincennes, IN, Tonya Sternberg and her husband, Tim, of Huntingburg, IN, and Thad Marvel and his fianc, Mandi Jeffries, of Vincennes, IN; his sister, Mary Jo Ruppel, and her husband, Ron, of Stendal, IN; 17 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Born July 13, 1943, in Mt. Olympus, IN, he was the son of Carl E. and Eunice (Robinson) Marvel. His parents; his sisters, Viola Foster, Dorthea Marvel, Georgia Ann Marvell, and Darlene Marvel; and his brother, Ron Marvel, preceded him. Friends may visit with Bill's family from 4:00 - 8:00 on Friday, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. The service will be conducted on Saturday, at 10:00, at Community United Methodist Church, 1548 S. Hart Street Road, Vincennes, IN. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Community United Methodist Church - Mary Marthas, or to Riley Children's Hospital.
