Carl Leroy Quinn, 85, of Washington, Indiana, went to his heavenly home on February 7, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on October 26, 1936, to the late Forrest and Mildred Palmer Quinn in Washington, Indiana. Carl was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. Shortly after high school, he worked at McCord's in Washington, Indiana. He then served his country in the US Marine Corps from June 29, 1956 - April 18, 1958. After serving his country, he worked at McDonald Douglas in Los Angeles, California. Carl then began working for General Motors in Van Nuys, California, and he retired after thirty-one years of employment. On May 5, 1957, Carl married the love of his life, Patricia Howard Quinn, and they spent sixty-four years happily married. Together, they had one daughter, Linda Hirasuna. Carl was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Washington, Indiana. He loved the Lord with all his heart. Carl was a hard-working man, and he loved his family. Carl was a great Dad and a great "Papa" to his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger years, he enjoyed going hunting with his father. Carl would do anything for anyone, and he will be deeply missed by all. Surviving Carl is his wife, Pat Quinn; his daughter, Linda Hirasuna (Mark); his grandchildren, Leilani Hirasuna and Keoni Hirasuna; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, and Kai; his brother Raymond Quinn (Paulette), several nieces and nephews, several cousins, and his sister-in-law Doris Quinn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Mildred, and his brother Robert Quinn. Visitation for Carl will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St. Washington, Indiana 47501 from 4:00 - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St. Washington, Indiana 47501 at 11:30am with Pastor Tom Watson officiating. He will be laid to rest in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may visit from 10:30 until the time of the service. Online condolences may be shared with the family at goodwinsievers.com.
